FMC Ukraine-Poland II 2026
6 solution(s) · This comp feels very much like a repeat of the previous one in terms of my performance, with just a bit better scrambles. I again had 4 decent to good solves, and 2 disaster ones on the first attempts of both rounds. I missed 4 1 0 3 1 1 moves from what i consider reasonable on the sets, and 2 1(though just cause of time, 0 otherwise) 0 1 0 1(technically, from variation) from my drs, which is not bad on average but the outliers suck. Either way 22.00 mo6 is tied for my best 2round comp and I updated all my official big averages pbs so I'd say even without prs these comps were great for consistency practice for me.
However I feel about individual solves I really enjoyed both FMC Ukraine-Poland comps, actually competing against people is so much more fun than against my nr. Congrats once again to Radek and Krzysztof for beating me twice. Dual rounds are also great fun, they make 1st round much more impactful which i really liked, though if this wasn't dual rounds I would've got 2nd and 1st insead of double 3rd😛

6 solution(s) · 2 solves tied mallard, 1 solve tied mallard except for a 11+10 from 2c4 with variations, 1 solve would've been 1 move from mallard except for writing mistake, and 2 absolute disasters on the best scrambles. Overall i'm ok with my performance this competition, missing a free 19 on a1 sucks cause this could've easily led to a sub21 mean but i did have cold hands and had to poop for half of the attempt. Very happy to be 2nd in both rounds and 3rd overall, I love actually having people of similar or better level to compete against instead of just against nr. Congrats to Radek on a super cool 18 and a win with a 20.33 and to Krzystof for triple woaj in round 2.

Lucky but decent a1, then a2 and a3 like 5 minutes away from tying mallard as well, so dr finding was good and finishes were shit today, mainly just time management issues, but 22.33 is still decent so we go again tommorrow
Round 2:
Better finishes, worse dr finding, but overall just screwed over by the scramble quality, 22.00 human findable is just complete nonsense
Overall comp:
Sub23 mo2r and 1.33 average missed from human findable is pretty decent, but the 20.67 miss from my htrs in round 1 is a bit sad, though i wouldn't say R1 had particularly amazing scrambles, just a bit better than average eo-wise. The whole comp felt pretty bad but stat-wise I think i did pretty decent with the scrambles I was given, not perfect but no huge throws: 2 pretty much perfect solves, 1 miss by 1 move(dr miss from rzp), 2 misses by 2 moves(dr miss from not switching rzp, finish miss from htr cause time manamgement) and 1 miss by 3 moves(miss by 2 minutes of time management)

3 solution(s) · My first 22.00 and this closes a gap for 21.33 to 25.67 that i had. After analysis i feel much better about the mean, i think 22 21 20 are reasonable here, and i could've had 22 22 20 from my drs, and i only missed 22 on a1 cause of time management and on a2 it's quite tricky so that's not too bad, really funny a3. I was really tired when we started the solves and i had a headache for most of the mean so i'm happy with this performance, only missing 1.00 from human findable

6 solution(s) · This comp had a very high potential, especially round 2. On 1.2 i wrote down a 19 at 59 minutes but didn't manage to confirm it works on time so submitted a 23, which would've led to a 21.33, and in 2.3 i had a dr with a very easy 19 but i didn't mark it and forgot to switch it, which would've led to a 20.33 wr5, this still hurts. Also 2.1 had a pretty reasonable 19 from a 2+2 i missed so a 19.67 potential set

Probably the closest I'll ever be to some sort of non-nr record cause if i'd found the R S2 U2 R extension on a3 this would've been 21.00 ER, but still completely fine with missing that cause the first 2 solve were pretty much perfect
