FMC Ukraine-Poland II 2026

This comp feels very much like a repeat of the previous one in terms of my performance, with just a bit better scrambles. I again had 4 decent to good solves, and 2 disaster ones on the first attempts of both rounds. I missed 4 1 0 3 1 1 moves from what i consider reasonable on the sets, and 2 1(though just cause of time, 0 otherwise) 0 1 0 1(technically, from variation) from my drs, which is not bad on average but the outliers suck. Either way 22.00 mo6 is tied for my best 2round comp and I updated all my official big averages pbs so I'd say even without prs these comps were great for consistency practice for me. However I feel about individual solves I really enjoyed both FMC Ukraine-Poland comps, actually competing against people is so much more fun than against my nr. Congrats once again to Radek and Krzysztof for beating me twice. Dual rounds are also great fun, they make 1st round much more impactful which i really liked, though if this wasn't dual rounds I would've got 2nd and 1st insead of double 3rd😛

You can actually get a 21 from this dr but you have to extend the htr on normal from 5 to 7, didn't try that:
nissy-# solve -t 64 -M 15 R' U' F R' U R2 U2 F2 D2 L' F2 L R2 D F' U' F' D2 F R' U' B R' U' F (B D R' F) R2 U2 L

(B' R' D F')
(D2 L F2 U' R) // 9 2c5 with 5c4e, 24 opt

I specifically tried solving this 3c4e, but i didn't recall that you can reduce it to 4c6e, sad. If i'd practiced both 3c4e and 5c stuff yesterday instead of just 5c i'd definitely find this:
(B' R' D F')               // eofb       (4/4)
(R D)                      // rzplr-eofb (2/6)

I only checked the eo and found this dr at 54-55 minutes, so as soon as i found something better than my 24 backup i immediately wrote it down at 58 minutes and finished checking at 59, but there is this:
F B L2 F' D2 F2 D2 F2 = U2 F2 U2 F' B2 L2 B // -1/22 via 2e2e reinsert, found this immediately after submitting, and this ties mallard's without extending F' L F2 R eo to 5mover

It feels wierd that this is my best attempt and only tied mallard solve of the comp, because I misscrambled my normal cube and wrote down 57 eos that didn't work, lost like 5 minutes rewriting normal eos and ended up checking like 25 eos overall, but thankfully didn't get punished for that

Well this is stupid, if you widen the F2's in the post-htr then slice becomes +1, did not think of that

But most importantly i somehow missed this simple 20 from a +2 rzp on the 3mover, ugh:
(D' R' F')                        // eofb       (3/3)

This is pretty reasonable to find i think, after you notice the jzp the rest is obvious but i didn't notice the jzp:

Lucked out here, found this dr at 20 minutes and decided to immediately try a couple htrs and got 23 on the first i checked and this on the second

I had this dr but i didn't realise during the attempt that you can do B' instead of B in eo to change 2c5 to 2c3, sad:
F2 L B' (U' B')            // eofb       (5/5)
                           // rzplr-eofb (0/5)
