Polish Sylwester Tour: FMC Warszawa-Wesoła 2025

Overall some good and some bad solving intertwined throughout the day. The first round feels like a wasted set and I actually got more out of the second, much worse set. Landing 3 good solves across 2 rounds, hopefully next time it'll be within the same mean.

The 10+4s from this EO is what I focused on and they are 23 opt with some tricky paths, while some 11 move DRs from the same EO are easy 21s and 22s.

Short DRs everywhere and I barely looked at them. There's a 10+3 that gives 19, but I wasn't even writing down 10 movers. From the stuff I wrote down there's a bunch of 20s, but again, I don't expect myself to be accurate on a sprint like this.

There was a bunch of good stuff from different things but mainly I missed (R) being RZP on this EO and this was where all the juiciest stuff was the whole scramble.
10+5 just to get through to the next one

Everything was AWFUL 😭
Looked a bit into:
R2 B' D' L' U' //EO
D2 B' L U2 L' B2 L //DR 12+2 4c4e with a big JZP section
but there is no sub-24 here.

In fact, all sub-24 that I got cubelib to spit out are from 5-movers that i didn't write down.
Should've just checked more.

(R2 B2 [D2 L2 B2]) // leave slice in 19
[ ] = U' D' F2 L2 U D' //solve slice (+1)

Variation heavy 11+1. It took me a fairly long time to check it, even though the solution is pretty basic. Everything had short slices, but +2s and worse so I was fairly happy about this one solving in +1.
20 is optimal for EO, with nothing on a scramble giving reasonable sub20s.

(R L) // 3c2e RZP in 7, but R L as an RZP from an EO with a 3 move DRish sequence
// Let's have a bit of fun with the edge-flipping hacks
D2 B2 R' B R // DR 12+5 6c0e, so no need for the hacks, this just reslices itself
(R' L') R' L //10+5

DR after rewrites:
(L' F) D2 B2 R' B L //DR 7+3, 2c6e
(B2 D' F2 B2 R2 B2 U' F2 [U) //HTR
(R2 B2 U2]) // leave slice in 19
[ ] = U' D2 L2 F2 D2 //solve slice (+1)

Having no pressure with a DNF to start, I wanted to have some fun and got an 8/10/6 thrown at me right away, but this got me checking silly stuff and I got probably my favourite ever solution across 700+ attempts I've done ever since I started FMC.
