Big nerves impacting the thinking at the start of the attempt, given that last results in official were bad, + 2 move EO on A1 of Nationals that directly gives an unusual attempt. Rare +9 EO to DR, basically it’s the first DR’s I wrote thinking it would be 10. So I has this set as backup before 10mins, but I did not consider I would need these. Then I spent 20 mins on all <=4 move Eo’s, switching 3 movers and premoving the 2 mover. Somehow managed to choke the rare DR’s giving sub 22 from the standards I chose, all 10 move DR’s I had were very bad subsets. Missed RZP on (F2 U’ L2 D) that after switching gives a set of 9+4 with trivial 21, inexplicable. After 40 mins I decided accept I missed, and to not DNF, even if this could mean that I’m out after A1, so came back to this set where +5 to HTR is possible on inverse and this came up to save my attempt, even though I knew that 22 wasn’t going to be Woaj and very disappointed with the attempt. The 4 variants from L’ F L D’ are 22 opt but there’s a 20 on one of the L’ F L U’ that I did not check during the attempt. Big save where Woaj is 21 from LMR and Quentin, Alexis got same 22 as me pretty much.

All 4 of us had the same DR, but Quentin missed this slice and got 23 out of these. This solve felt a lot better, nerves were ok and did not miss anything apparently. After A2, status is LMR 21 21 Alexis/Adrien 22 21 Quentin 21 23, so everything will be set on A3 !

At this point I have 22 21 21 = 21.33, happy with this and feel unlikely that Alexis and Quentin both found a 20 so I’m guaranteed a podium in my head. Quentin found same solution but more normally, and sadly LMR and Alexis did not check this EO so got 24 and 25 on this garbage scramble…
