22.33 tied PR and 2024 Italian Champion. Looking back at last year championship I grew a lot, giving that was my first time using DR in comp and now I am a more mature solver. This comp was very satisfying in terms of nerves, probably the chillest of this year. Pleased by the fact that I solved safely and always had two solutions (that's not the case normally for me). After second attempt I saw the margin that I had and solved like butter, without esitation. Surely some of the solutions that I found were a little lucky but I saw that luck comes also from speed, more things you check more are the chances that you get a easier DR and a better result. On the other side if I went full send on the second maybe I would have found the 21 and get NR mean. Today my goal was to solve well and the NR curse didn't get me too much, hopefully I'll get it.

Nice. Optimal from DR. I found the HTR in 18 but then inserted the 2e2e straightaway.
Then I worked on some stuff that was longer and found a sort of slicable 25, but yeah, completely useless.
Mallard finds no 20, so I'm very pleased. After finding the 21 at 35, I just spammed all the remaining EOs I had.

In this attempt, I went too safe. I found another 24 from a 12+0 (optimal) and then I dived into the 3 variations of this 10+4.
Sadly, two variations are 21 optimal, findable but they pass through an HTR that reduces to 4b2 4e.
Probably I would have tried more HTRs if I had just gone a little harder. Two 24s don't make a 23. Mallard finds a easy 21 from eo in 4 (super chill 12+2, missed rzp obviously) and 20 from niss eo in 5.

The other 24:

Another nice result. Found a 24 from another 12+0 lol, that almost matematically gave me the win (I had a 11 move lead at this point) at 22 minutes and then this at 40. This is obviously optimal from DR and Mallard finds at best 21 but from some obscure DRs in 12. The 12+0 was 23 opt (but it doesn't matter cause it was not final solution). The 24 and its optimal:

D' B2 R' F // EO (4/4)
D2 R' // DR-4c4e (2/6)
B2 D U2 R2 D R' // DR, 0c0 4e (6/12)
