Final: L' F2 R' U2 F U' B U' B' R2 F2 L2 R2 D2 B2 D' F2 D' (scramble optimal!) Nice scramble with 3 3 move EOs and lots of 4 movers. Very early in the attempt I found this 8+1 DR: (F' D L2 F') R (B2 U L)//4a1 2e, via premove abuse from checking R (D U2 R) I checked this DR for super long and all I managed to find was a 21 (it’s 20 optimal), I actually checked the 18 DR quite late (>45 mins) because I thought that it was a 10+2 at first lol. Btw for the 18 DR I didn’t really think of it as a specific trigger, I just tried RZP in +2 from the 3 move EO. This is also the same case I used to get a 22 from WC25 A1 I think lol Had a 19 from it: L’ F2 R’ U2 F U’ B U’ B (U L2 U L2 F2 U2 L2 F’ B U2 F’ B) Then I inverted the B move and checked it again and 18 appeared. (yes, this is FR propaganda here, the 2 moves to FR would have been obvious regardless of the way the B move is but well...) When I saw this 5c6e case after EO my first instinct was to do (F R') but the E slice was incorrect for it to actually work great. Then I thought (R') would preserve all the pairs so I just did it and it gave the fat antisune 3c4e case. In my last comp (SGCC2026) I also used the same case so that's cool. I got this at somewhere between 40 and 45 mins and my hand was shaking so much from what an 18 19 start entails that I had to unironically wait 5-10 mins so I can write legibly on the answer sheet lmao I actually checked the wrong variation (R' B R F2 etc) first and almost moved on without checking this one, that was close. This solution is also unique optimal after R2 (F) 😮 other: U (F B' D') (R D2 L F2 L2 R' B)//2c3 4e (11) (F D L R' B') (U R D2 U L' U)//4a1 4e (11) D U F’ L2 B R D2 F2 U’ R//2c4 (10) D’ U B’ U2 F L’ U2 F2 D’ L//2c4, didn’t even check these 2 tbh (10) I also had 3 different EOs on this that gave DRs with the R U R L trigger but all were bad 💔 R2 F/F’ L’ B2 R’ D’ B’ U F B (R’ F2 L’ D L’) (B’ U’ F U D) Mallard even finds a fourth one, but I missed it oops U R F' R' L F D F B/4b2 2e, you can get 20 from this

This 4e4c trigger is the first weird obscure one that I ever learned and the case is so unique looking that it has stuck with me since 2019, I’m so happy that I can use it to clutch WR I was just planning to stick to my usual approach here and check every sub-5 EO, every 5 move EO that's optimal for that axis, and every 1+4 NISS EO. However, white front on both normal and inverse was the 6 bad case with the largest number of optimal 5 movers, and there were 3 groups of 1+4s that had 8 solutions. This made my EO writing stage slower by a lot. After checking all the NISS EOs and green and red EOs on normal I realised it's already >25 mins. I lowkey crashed out and just decided to just drop everything and check the 2 3 movers and their extensions When I found the 21 DR I couldn't remember exactly what moves I did to get there, I just solved it with HTR to get back and write it down but the 21 just appeared immediately lol This all happened somewhere between 35-40 mins, I went back to check all the EOs I abandoned and there wasn't really anything else so I was basically chilling in the last 10 minutes lol Once again I legit couldn't write the 21 on the answer sheet immediately because of hand shaking lmao Other: (F2 D’ B R) (U B’ L2 F2 D)//2c3, I thought this would save the attempt but then I saw 0e lmao (9) U’ L (F2 R’) B (U2 R2 B’ U2 F)//4c3 (10)
