I thought a 14 move finish was disappointing but it turns out it's optimal. This scramble also had 3 4 move EOs but they were all useless

Really lucky finish, I did not expect to get a good result on this scramble. It’s optimal after EO too, double slice ftw.

Also getting 20 on a 19 optimal is really nice :D

6/10/4 scramble, 18 optimal scramble

really bad scramble, I just decided I wanted to play with triple slice shenanigans so I tunneled on this DR. I had a working 26 and somehow decided it was a better idea to risk DNFing and complete this 24 rather than just play safe and just make the next round lol

I also submitted my solution on the working paper, reconstructing this was quite annoying without it.

Optimal for this DR is 22:

R' D’ (L' F2 D')
(U2 B' R2 B R' L')
F’ D2 B2 L2 F R2 U2 L2 D2 F//10 move HTR I guess
L R U2 L’ R’//22

I hate these kinds of scrambles where there are many short EOs but all you find are a bunch of 10+3 and no real standout DR. Luckily it worked out okay in the end.

This had a much worse EO count than the first scramble, yet I had the same quality of DRs... typical fmc. The replacement trick at the end is cool though.

There are better results possible (see below) but whatever

6/8/4 EO count, 18 optimal scramble

optimal finish

on this attempt I really had nothing after nissing all the normal RZPs in 4 off this 2 move eo, so I tried all kinds of random crap on it such as reducing to 7c8e and 8c8e. I found this DR at like 40 minutes lol

optimal for this DR is 20:

L' F2 R' D2 L'
U' D R2 U' D R2

I got this HTR with a different M slice which just made the double slice hard to see... sigh
